Jane has worked in the financial services industry for over 30 years. Jane’s experience as a financial planner in working directly with clients and as a manager in a large financial services company serving those same types of clients gives her a unique perspective from both the customer and product manufacturer viewpoints.

Jane says that the reason she is excited about the work she does is that she gets the opportunity to work with some of the best people she could possibly want to work with. They’re people who care about their families and their financial health and who value professional advice. What gives Jane fulfillment at the end of the day is knowing that she has been able to help people accomplish some of the things that are really important to them. This fits in perfectly with what she believes to be her personal mission of having a positive impact on the lives of the people with whom she comes into contact.

While state president of the Indiana Federation of Business & Professional Women's Organizations, Jane led an effort in 1991 to create a financial education program for teens called the Reality Store™. Since then, this program has been used in hundreds of communities across the country, most often in cooperation with local schools. Teens have said on program evaluation forms that the Reality Store™ experience would help them make better financial choices in the future.

In 2008 Jane developed a similar program for baby boomers preparing for retirement.  This program, The Retirement Experience, allows participants to experience first hand some of the challenges they will face trying to live off Social Security, pension and other retirement plan assets.  Through a simulation of living a month as a retiree, they encounter several unexpected, but realistic, events that can have a dramatic effect on their retirement budget.  Participants have said that this experience has helped them to better understand the number of issues that can impact their financial security during retirement.

Jane's family consists of her mother, sister, brother-in-law  and twin niece and nephew.  She is organist at her church and director of the youth chime choir. She is also a member of the volunteer house staff at the Embassy Theatre. Along with spending time with her family and friends, she enjoys traveling, golf, music, ballroom dancing and reading.
